Bill Henderson is the president of H & H Electric Service, Inc. in Morehead City, where he has worked full-time after graduating from NC State with a degree in Engineering Operations in 1982. 

He also has financial interests in the following Morehead City businesses;

• The Book Shop
• Little 9 Storage LLC
• Gales Shore Properties LLC

Bill has been a lifelong resident of Carteret County having attended Newport Elementary and West Carteret High School. He is married to the former Beth Avery of Morehead City and has three children - Jenna Henderson of Newport, William Henderson of Chapel Hill, and Averi Linderman and her husband Grant of Morehead City. Averi and Grant have three children, Georgia Mac, Francie, and Charles Linderman. 

Bill is a member of the NC State Alumni Association, the Wolfpack Club, and the NC State Varsity Club and regularly joins family members at both NC State football and baseball games. 

Bill is presently serving in his 29th year as a Trustee at Carteret Community College where he served two years as the chairperson and is in his 16th year as a Board Member of the Newport Consolidated School Alumni Association. He was just recently appointed by Governor Roy Cooper to serve as a member of the Morehead City Navigation and Pilotage Commission.  

He has previously served for 10 years on the Carteret County Board of Elections and 3 years on the Carteret County Parks and Recreation Committee. He is active at St. James United Methodist Church in Newport and serves as the Chairperson of Finance. While at church he leads a Growth Group and sings in the chancel choir.
